This is a Ruby on Rails event. The focus will be on developing web apps and programming in Ruby. You can find all the curriculum materials at docs.railsbridge.org.

This workshop is intended to reach out to women who are interested in learning Ruby on Rails. Men are welcome to come if you find a woman who wants to learn Ruby on Rails and come together. RailsBridge is emphatically queer and trans* friendly.
In this workshop, we'll take you through building a complete web application using Ruby on Rails. By the end of the workshop, you'll have an application on the internet that connects to a database and reads and writes information. We'll meet up on Friday to install all of the software you need, and then spend Saturday learning and writing code.
Total programming novices, system administrators, developers in other languages, and folks who attended our previous workshops are all welcome. We'll have different classes separated by experience level.
Major thanks to Pivotal Labs for hosting and sponsoring!
There is sadly no bike parking inside Pivotal Labs (the building no longer allows bikes in the lobby), but it is just a short walk from Powell Bart and very Muni-accessible.
We'll be providing pizza on Friday night, a light bagel-y breakfast and hearty, non-pizza lunch on Saturday.
Let us know in your RSVP you need childcare! If anyone needs it, we'll have someone with us to watch the little one(s) on site.
Everyone's invited to have a drink together on Saturday after the workshop is done. Location TBD.
