Event Description

Help us prepare for future ElmBridge events by helping us to improve the ElmBridge curriculum. (ElmBridge supports women, non-binary people, and people of color in getting started with and leveling up with the Elm programming language.) Attend this curriculum work party if you're interested in any of the following:

  • Helping us review feedback from past ElmBridge workshops
  • Improving our Elm curriculum based on feedback we've received
  • Writing, brainstorming, or discussing a new ElmBridge curriculum for students with no past programming experience
  • Writing, brainstorming, or discussing a new ElmBridge curriculum for advanced students ready to move past the existing curriculum
  • Interested in volunteering or organizing future ElmBridge events
  • Interested in discussing allyship in the Elm community

Schedule

There is no set schedule for activities. Attend for whatever period you are available. ElmBridge organizers will be available throughout to help everyone find constructive ways to contribute.

Transportation and Parking

NoRedInk is a five minute walk from the Montgomery BART/Muni station and a fifteen minute walk from the Transbay Terminal. NoRedInk can also be accessed via the F, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, and 14 bus lines.

Street parking is limited but may be available on 2nd, Mission, and other adjacent streets.

Bicycles can be brought into the building and up the elevator.

Food and Drinks

Pizza will be provided. (Also, feel free to bring your own food into the office--restaurants within a 5 minute walk include: Subway, The Bird, Lao Table, Sweetgreen, SOMA Eats, and many others.)

Childcare

No childcare will be provided. If lack of childcare is preventing you from attending, please let us know at elmlangbridge@gmail.com so we can plan for future events.
